We build marketing campaigns for Christian ministries, which include parachurch organizations, Christian non-profits, Christian educational institutions, Christian businesses, and churches.

In a nutshell, we serve those who are serving to fulfill the Great Commission.

Having served both churches and non-profits, we’ve learned an essential difference between the two.

Churches are often trying to get members in their community to be aware about a particular church event or service and to be interested in attending that as a constituent (and eventually to become a congregant and a Christian).

Non-profits, on the other hand, have a longer-term goal of engaging people with brand awareness first and moving them toward program engagement, and finally toward being donors and brand advocates.

Ideally, we do end-to-end marketing campaigns starting with strategy and going all the way to execution and even transition. We prefer to only work on campaigns where we are able to serve the team fully and be involved at multiple touchpoints.

However, in certain cases, we do engage with ministries that want to run just an ad or build a landing page. Click here to get in touch with us and examine if we’re a good fit for each other.

We create landing pages for campaigns in WordPress CMS. We prefer this to landing page builders as it provides flexible functionality, wide design customizations, and adaptability to tailor it to our needs.

We use email CRM tools like ActiveCampaign among others. We also track landing pages and marketing efforts with Google Analytics and Hotjar.

Google Tag Manager helps set up advanced and custom tracking over a range of performance-based marketing KPIs that are housed in Google Analytics. As a standalone tool, Hotjar helps us with quality data.

In order to represent/interpret the data collected, we use dashboarding tools such as Klipfolio, Databox, and Google Data Studio. We also use integrations with tools such as Zapier.

Ideally, we want to work with ministries that have done marketing campaigns before and are looking to scale. Just as filling your tank with gas helps you get to your destination, 40 Parables helps you scale your marketing efforts strategically.

In some cases, we help ministries get started from scratch. Click here to talk to us and examine if we are a good fit for you.

John Wanamaker famously said, “Half the money I spend on advertising is wasted; the trouble is I don’t know which half.” We certainly don’t want you to be like John Wanamaker.

One of our strengths is to make sure that we are measuring everything so that you know how your campaigns have run and how you can scale them and run them better next time.

We use specific tools, such as Klipfolio, to create dashboards where you can combine the results and metrics of your Facebook ads, email marketing campaigns, and landing pages, as well as track and measure them against predefined goals.

We monitor them frequently and update them on a weekly basis. We also help you figure out how to keep progressing with your campaign in order to achieve a better outcome.

If your marketing campaigns are struggling to justify the ROI, or you’re not able to meet your goals, it could often be due to a weak marketing foundation or the absence of a detailed action plan that can be measured for effectiveness.

The ROI for a strong marketing foundation can be justified in 3 ways:

1. CornerStone will help you know the real scope, impact, and cost of your marketing efforts, and even let you decide if you want to pursue them.

2. CornerStone will help you track your results better so that you know where your money is being well-spent and where it’s not.

3. CornerStone will strengthen the quality of your marketing as you try to stay unique in a very crowded ministry space.

Most digital marketing agencies are digital advertising agencies. That’s because their foundation is not in marketing but more in how to leverage ads on social media or online advertising platforms such as Google and Facebook.

40 Parables is different because we focus on 3 holistic aspects of marketing:

1. Messaging – We take care of the messaging because we want to understand who we’re talking to, how to talk to them, what to tell them, and what not to tell them.

2. Marketing – We focus on the actual marketing where we engage through email campaigns and social media.

3. Measurement – We live by Peter Drucker’s wise observation, “If you can’t measure it, you can’t improve it.”

We are very careful with this 3-pronged approach so that we can create a model for repetition, success, and scale. That’s how we are different – we are marketers who aim to convince as opposed to advertisers who aim to campaign.

Our marketing campaigns are mostly digital. Although we’ve occasionally worked with non-digital marketing campaigns, our strength is adapting ministries to a digital context.

This is all the more relevant now during the COVID-19 season when most things are forced to be digital.

Ideally, we would rather run marketing campaigns than create lead magnets. Like gas in the tank that powers a car, we provide the push that is needed to scale what is already in existence.

However, occasionally, we make concessions on a need basis, depending on our relationship with our clientele.

Yes, we do. Through our marketing campaigns, we help with top-level user acquisition for brand awareness and building the brand’s user acquisition funnel.

For instance, we generated 10,000+ new leads for Church Fuel and built a database of 7,000+ subscribers for Abide.

Some of the sales campaigns we have run include getting people registered for webinars and conferences and promoting products for church leaders such as giving apps and salary reports.

We are a strategic marketing partner, and we also serve as a digital marketing agency. But we are not a production house, so we don’t make videos, we don’t create podcasts, and we don’t handle public relations.

Even though many things have changed about digital marketing, one of its central aspects is still email marketing. That’s because email still converts at 1% while social is still a decimal less than 1%.

One of the best things we do is email marketing, focusing on both the pre-email and post-email stages. For a great email marketing experience, we create conversion-optimized landing pages. Then we round it off with great analytics and marketing metrics.

The entire process is marked by our 3-pronged approach – good messaging, good email marketing, and good measurement.

That’s why our sweet spot is how we use email marketing. Another plus point about email marketing is that most of the time you already have a database that we can help you convert really well.

If you ask us, that is way better than spending a lot of money on ads before you exhaust your options with your existing database.

We primarily do marketing strategy. We also do ads, conversion-optimized landing pages, email campaigns, paid ads, and metric measurement and tracking.

We began our journey alongside ministries in 2015. For almost 5 years, we’ve been running campaigns for many high-impact ministries.

We’ve learned how to be relevant to the unique church context to help ministries, pastors, and church leaders engage well with one another and their communities.

If you already have a marketing team, we can help you scale the impact of your team. We can also offer a third-party perspective for better conversion-optimized results and conduct objective audits for you.

Not just that, we can help by taking off your load, assisting with execution, and double-checking your marketing strategy. If you don’t have a strategy, we will fill the gaps for you.

COVID-19 is forcing most ministries to stay home and to go digital. Most ministries are trying to figure out what this means.

We are able to help because one of the key parts of our marketing output is clarity on marketing strategy. So whether it is a new campaign or running a marketing plan, we are able to create a marketing outcome that is specific to your ministry’s context.

We come with a blank slate instead of a prescription regardless of who you are. Click here to talk to us and figure out how we can translate your idea into impact during this COVID-19 season.

That would depend on what it is you want to do – whether it’s something at the top of the funnel, user acquisition, brand awareness, or bottom-of-the-funnel sales campaigns.

If it’s at the top of the funnel, on average, we’re able to get prospects at a dollar per prospect across job roles and much lesser for certain specific roles.

If it’s at the bottom of the funnel, it depends on what product you’re selling. Click here to connect with us and we can help you figure out the cost.

To get started with 40 Parables, you can get on a quick call with us. First, we’ll get to know you better and plan for a quick review and audit.

We’ll then ask you for access to examine your tech stack and marketing processes, and then we’ll come with a plan and a proposal.

Once we get started, we’ll begin with the marketing strategy and see you through to execution and eventually transition to a state of self-sufficiency.
