What’s your favorite Christmas movie? 

While the all-time favorite is probably “It’s a Wonderful Life”, one movie has consistently won this poll since 1990.

At merely 8 years of age, Macaulay Culkin sauntered into Hollywood as a child actor.

However, it was with his 5th film “Home Alone” that he walked into the shoes of Kevin the kid as well as our lives. 

This popular Christmas movie grossed almost half a billion dollars, but in reality, the story could have been set in any time of the year and didn’t have to be a Christmas movie.

It’s not clear if the movie was designed to capitalize and cash in on the Christmas fever that takes over the whole month of December.

However, this movie has clearly taken advantage of positioning itself as one of the best Christmas movies of all time and is consistently run on TV channels multiple times during this month. 

Positioning this movie around Christmas helps it get watched like an annual tradition all month, and especially during Christmas week.
