Chase the bank of America

Chase and Bank of America are the two largest banks in America.

Most people who choose to have a bank account with either of these two brands don’t really have much to choose between their offerings or features.

Both are well-known, reliable, and have everything you’d expect in a modern bank.

How then does someone pick one over the other to start a bank account?

It almost always comes down to their experience with the bank or the branding

My son Caleb is definitely starting his bank account with Chase.

That’s because whenever I took him to Chase, the cashiers always gave him a lollipop.

They made it an exciting experience for him because they asked him to choose which color he wanted and he loved picking his favorite color, orange.

He even occasionally asks me if I can take him to the bank because he obviously wants a lollipop.

I can already see how much he likes that trip and how it can be the start of a great relationship with the bank.

He also remembers the Chase logo well because it’s on the wrapper of every single lollipop he gets from there – and he gets a lot of them!

Sadly, Bank of America has no lollipops to offer Caleb when we visit and so I go there rarely even though I have accounts with both.

Chase is managing to get a leg up on Bank of America when it comes to nurturing its next generation of prospects – all because of lollipops!

Takeaway

Make your prospects chase you by offering them something valuable that makes them go all the way to the bank!

Let me know what makes you choose one bank over another when their offerings are the same.

There is only one winning strategy. It is to carefully define the target market and direct a superior offering to that target market.
