Mess up, own up!

I messed up!
Every day we craft our daily blog with pride and painstaking effort.
However, for the first time ever, last Friday we sent out the daily marketing manna email with the Thursday email’s subject line.
For some, that might not even be an issue but for us this is a fall from the ‘attention to detail’ policy that we religiously subscribe to.
Sure, we have a few good excuses.
But the buck stops with me, implying that I have no excuses.
My team helps me put the email together daily, and I’ve asked that we review the process together to see how we can prevent this issue from happening again.
Often I have seen other brands prefer not to address similar lapses in order to not draw attention to it.
But shouldn’t we?
Even though we aim for the highest standards, we’re imperfect humans after all.
I’m owning up today because I messed up.
I want to continue to aspire to maintain the highest standards but also acknowledge that falling is a possibility.
But when I fall and mess up, I’ll stand tall and own up.
If I’m not human, how can I serve other humans?
