Cheers to the end of the summer, and here’s to the new season ahead of us!
Today is the last Friday (and this is my last Fun Friday post) of this summer and the world has changed a lot since it began 3 months ago.
The U.S. said goodbye to Afghanistan, Microsoft said goodbye to Internet Explorer, and Germany said goodbye to Chancellor Angela Merkel.
That said, good things like humanity and bad viruses like COVID-19 are still around – much like marketing, which never goes out of vogue.
In fact, marketing is a rare phenomenon that can help us reframe our understanding and potentially grasp a side of reality that we saw before but never really comprehended.
If you think the glass is half-full or half-empty, a true marketer can always help you resize your glass and thus reframe your understanding.
Because that is what real marketing does – it challenges the status quo, draws us alluringly to a brand or phenomenon, shifts our perspectives, and compels us to take action.
In short, it makes those who think the glass is half-full or half-empty pick it up and drink!
Are you just marketing such glasses to us or helping us see them through a new lens? Let me know!
