Watch out

My wrist watch recently told me how I’m really living in another time.

I rarely wear a watch except when I’m formally dressed. 

Come to think of it, I don’t know why I wear a watch even then.

Because when I wore a watch to a meeting last month, I still took my mobile phone out of my pocket to check the time.

I heard that watches are now coming back into trend, but more as a fashion accessory than for their original function of displaying the time.

When your industry innovates and displaces you from your raison d’etre, you can still reinvent yourself and return before the clock runs out.

Takeaway

Innovation didn’t spare even one of the oldest concepts – time. But it did offer a second chance at reinventing the watch.
