Shorter menus, longer lines

In & Out is notorious for its long lines of cars and people that often wind around the building.

These lines have poured out into the road so much that California often refers to In & Out drive-throughs as a public menace!

Of course, In & Out has great food, but what is even greater about it is its simplicity. 

You have only 3 real options:

  1. Burgers: Hamburger, cheeseburger, or double-double
  2. Fries: Regular, or animal
  3. Beverages: Soda, or shakes

That’s it. 

Real short menus result in real fast decisions, and a loyalty for the same products to be consumed again and again.

Reducing choice results in rapid sales and returning customers.

Takeaway

The longer the prospect has to think through the menu, the longer he remains a prospect.
