#1 Strategy for high email open rates
Mon, Oct 17, 2022
What if the #1 strategy for high email open rates had nothing to do with compelling subject lines?
Nathan Artt, the CEO of Executive Leadership Solutions, is a concept conjurer.
He can conjure a concept out of thin air where most of us won’t even see one.
Through his amazing blog posts, Nathan explains why Target Corp runs a better church than most congregations, why we prefer shopping at Home Depot in person rather than on its website, and why high tech will never replace high touch.
His post → https://bit.ly/3D34aAX about what churches can learn from the way Apple approached its physical locations has been a runaway hit!
I’ve personally had the privilege of reading even more stories that have left me wondering “How does he think like this?”
Which means that whenever Nathan’s new email or blog comes up, I have no hesitation in reading it.
Nathan isn’t a marketer constantly aiming to get his subject lines right.
Instead, he has invested everything into getting something else right – his content and by association, the sender ID.
When I see Nathan Artt’s name in the sender ID of a new email in my inbox, I couldn’t care less about the subject line.
If hacking subject lines is your strongest tactic for high email open rates, it also means that when your subject line is not compelling, your email open rates will go down.
But, Nathan could send a blank subject line and I will still read his email.
And as long as he continues to email top-notch content with consistent frequency, he won’t even need a subject line.
Invest in a long-term strategy to win with compelling brand loyalty, rather than short-term tactics with just creative subject lines.
How much has your email marketing invested in your sender ID? I’d love to know!
