Snow Cap, No Cap!

Are you ready for a second Guinness record-related blog post of the week?

An ice cream shop named Snow Cap in Seligman, Arizona, along Route 66, is serving 266 different flavors of milkshakes. 

And it registered its name in the Guinness World Record by serving all 266 varieties of milkshakes in the shortest possible time—90 minutes!

So what?

Well, whenever I’m going to AZ next, you know exactly which ice cream shop I’m headed to!

It’s not that Snow Cap managed to find a way to catch my attention compared to its competitors. 

It’s that Snow Cap managed to catch my attention, period—especially when I wasn’t even thinking about ice cream.

No one is expecting Snow Cap to constantly roll out 266 flavors of milkshakes. 

At best, I want to assume less than 10% (or 26 milkshakes) will be even asked for.

But Snow Cap designed a product that would be a marketing point in itself.

Takeaway

Your product differentiation should be your greatest marketing weapon!
